The East Chambers ISD Education Foundation is now selling gun raffle tickets! We only sell 1000 tickets so make sure to get yours before the first drawing is held on November 2, 2023. The foundation awarded $3,200 in grants for the month of September.
Kindergarten teachers, Shawn Knight, Heather Bethea, Laura Cardenas, Ashley Dillard, Kelsy Barbarsi, and Rachel Adams were awarded $700 for an experience grant to take their students to The Children's Museum.
East Chambers Assistant Principal, Matt Fowler, and Principal, Kelsea Broomas, were awarded $2,500 for the Pirate Palooza program. Pirate Palooza was developed so that every student at ECJH has an opportunity to participate in something that interests and excites them. Studies show that students involved in something extracurricular have better grades, higher attendance, and better attitudes toward school. Students will have the chance to interact on a social level with others who might not be in their friend group, but also provide the opportunity to learn a skill, better their campus, or better themselves while doing it.
