The East Chambers ISD Education Foundation is proud to announce the awarding of two outstanding grants this month! Think BIG. Print BIGGER.

This wide-reaching project brings an industry-standard Epson SureColor S40600 large-format printer to ECISD, giving students real-world experience with professional design, printing, and production. Students in digital arts, graphic design, and entrepreneurship courses will learn how to create large-scale banners, posters, displays, and custom products. Beyond the classroom, the printer will support campus events, student projects, and community needs through the Treasure Trove student store—expanding entrepreneurial learning and providing services that benefit the entire district. With over 500 students gaining access to these tools, the project will elevate creativity, technical skills, and career readiness for years to come.

The Great Gatsby: The Musical

This experience grant will take high school dance students to the Hobby Center in Houston

ree

to see The Great Gatsby: The Musical live on stage. The performance will deepen students’ understanding of Broadway-style dance, musical theater, and character development—key components of their dance curriculum. Students will return to class and immediately begin their novelty dance unit, learning choreography inspired by the show. Because juniors also study The Great Gatsby in American Literature, this experience enriches both the arts and academic connections, showing students the power of live performance and the career possibilities within dance.

Wishing You a Wonderful Thanksgiving Break!

As we head into the holiday week, the Education Foundation would like to express our gratitude for our amazing teachers, staff, students, families, and community partners. Your support, creativity, and commitment make these grants possible and help bring innovative learning to life across ECISD.

We wish everyone a safe, restful, and joy-filled Thanksgiving holiday surrounded by family, friends, and good food. Enjoy the break — you deserve it!
