The East Chambers Education Foundation Prize Patrol visited campuses in October awarding a total of $5,521.00 in grant money. Gru aka ECHS Principal, Justin Lezak, along with a few of his minions aka students, tagged along for grant winner announcements.

East Chambers High School Culinary Classes were awarded a grant for a classroom library!

East Chambers High School Health Science, Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology students will all experience the Body Worlds RX exhibit at Moody Gardens. This student experience grant will offer the opportunity for students to view specimens on display that show comparisons and contrasts between healthy bodies and organs and those stricken with disease.

First grade students at East Chambers Primary will be heading west to visit the Chambers County Children's Museum. Several Chambers County businesses, including Vortech - one of this year's ECEF sponsors, have hands on exhibits to allow students to role-play in various jobs.

East Chambers Elementary fifth graders received a grant to attend "Sleeping Beauty The Musical" at MainStreet Theater where students will improve comprehension of literature and story elements, analyze the characters’ motivations, relationships, and decisions and be introduced to various theatrical elements such as costumes, set design, lighting, and sound effects.

The ECISD Education Foundation thanks everyone who has purchased raffle tickets, attended events, volunteered, or sponsored grants. Without you, these classroom and experience grants would not be possible.
