Making Waves: Grant Awards and East Chambers ISD's Rising Tide Recognition

This month marks the first round of grant awards for the 2025-2026 school year, all made possible by the generosity of our donors. A total of $19, 794 was awarded this round. Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, we are thrilled to fund innovative programs and resources that will enrich the educational journey of students across all East Chambers ISD campuses.


New Grant Awards

Thanks to the support of our dedicated donors, we have funded a variety of programs that will empower students and educators with new opportunities and resources.


High School Campus

Alley Theatre - A Christmas Carol ($2,345.00): This grant allows Freshman English students to see a live performance of this classic story at Houston's Alley Theatre. It provides visual learners and struggling readers a new way to engage with classic literature, improving their comprehension and test readiness.




Alley Theatre - The Body Snatcher ($1,785.00): Senior British Literature students will attend a live performance of this short story by Robert Louis Stevenson. This experience helps students engage with a challenging subject and gives many their only chance to enjoy live theater.

Pitch Perfect with Positive Performance! ($3,987.28): Band students in grades 6-12 will receive individual tuner/microphone combinations for their instruments. These personal tuners give students instant visual feedback to help them develop a stronger sense of pitch accuracy and improve their performance skills.




From Classroom to Career: Inspiring Future Healthcare Leaders Through Experiential Learning ($3,271.50): This grant funds a field trip for Anatomy & Physiology and Health Science students to The Health Museum in Houston. The immersive, hands-on experience will strengthen classroom learning and enhance their career readiness in health science fields.

Start Up Showdown- An Entrepreneurship Challenge ($3,775.00): This grant gives entrepreneurship students access to a robust simulation from Knowledge Matters. Students will conduct market research, build business plans, raise capital, and learn to run multiple enterprises at once.





Foundation Board Member Initiated Grant - Games at High School ($958.00): This grant provides new yard games to high school students, offering them a fun, active, and social way to spend their downtime. These games encourage friendly competition and provide a welcome alternative to cell phones during the school day.


Elementary Campus


Secrets of Space ($700.00): Fourth-grade students will be transported into the enchanting world of drama as they watch a live performance of this show at the Lutcher Theater. The experience helps students develop a deeper appreciation for how authors use language to convey complex ideas, emotions, and cultural narratives.

The Pigeon Gets a Big Time Holiday Extravaganza! ($2,120.00): This grant will allow fifth-grade students to see a live performance at Main Street Theater. Students will distinguish between the characteristics of a play, like exposition and conflict, and will be assessed on drama vocabulary and plot elements.


Primary Campus

Chambers County Children's Museum - “Where Kids RULE the City” ($852.00): This grant will allow first-grade students to visit the museum, which offers hands-on activities that use local businesses to teach a variety of educational concepts. Students will explore their world by role-playing jobs that highlight the work of local leaders and employees.

In addition to the incredible impact of these grants, our dedication to local communities was recently celebrated in another meaningful way. We are deeply honored to have received the Rising Tide Recognition from East Chambers ISD.





This award is a testament to the powerful collaborations that uplift our community. We are proud to work alongside the district to create a brighter future for all students.
